Salt Lake City, UT (April 30, 2021) Director of 4Life Service Jenna Lisonbee was onsite at the Granite Credit Union in South Salt Lake City to present 1.000 $ cash awards and trophies to superior educators as part of the Granite School District’s 2020-2021 Excel Awards.

Granite School District has 4.300 teachers, making it the 55th largest school district in the country. Only nine teachers and one administrator receive the annual, student-nominated Excel Award. This ranks the award process among the most rigorous educator recognition models in the state of Utah.

This year’s Excel Awards recipients: Albert Ferrarons-Font (West Lake STEM Junior High), Jennette Fordham (Woodstock Elementary), Jennifer Foulke (William Penn Elementary), Tayler Khater (Skyline High School), Michael Kraniski (Olympus High School), Becki Monson (Bacchus Elementary), Sam Noyce (Jefferson Junior High), Cynthia Pearson (Howard Driggs Elementary), Amy Roper (Bennion Elementary), and Rachel Sorensen (West Valley Elementary).

Following remarks from Granite Education Foundation CEO Brent Severe and Granite Education Foundation Board Chair Randy Woodbury, attendees heard from Brittney Cummins, Senior Advisor for Education to Governor Spencer J. Cox. Cummins emphasized the significance of this year’s awards, especially considering the creative thinking required by educators to connect with students during the pandemic.

One of two Foundation 4Life-sponsored Excel Award recipients Samuel Noyce: “Meaningful learning stems from meaningful relationships. The affirming connection between teacher and student forms the foundation of a transformative educational experience.”

In addition to Jenna Lisonbee, 4Life attendees included: President and CEO Danny Lee, Senior Vice President of Marketing Brian Gill, Vice President of Communications Calvin Jolley, Editorial Director Jessica Hyde, and Global Marketing Manager Christine Hartman.

4Life has offices in 25 markets to serve the company’s worldwide customers.
